21st BSSSC Annual Conference

The 21st BSSSC Annual Conference "Policymaking after 2013 – Towards New Dimensions in the Baltic Sea Co-operation" took place at the Marina Congress Center in Helsinki, Finland on the 17th and 18th of October 2013.

The most important sub-regional event of the BSR gathered 220 participants from political and administrative level (local, regional, national and EU level) as well as representatives from academia, organizations, NGOs and the private sector from the 11 countries taking part in the Baltic Sea cooperation. The conference broadly covered traditional BSSSC policy areas such as maritime policy, energy and climate, youth, the northern and arctic dimension and cohesion policy.

Speakers included representatives of the EU Commission, European Parliament, Committee of the Regions, Republic of Finland, CBSS, CPMR and many more.
